Daxxify

Dynamic wrinkles form as a result of repeated muscle contractions that occur when we make expressions like frowning, squinting, smiling, or raising the eyebrows. Every time we move certain facial muscles, the skin over those muscles folds in the same places. Over the years, those folds become more noticeable and eventually turn into visible lines and creases. Daxxify works by relaxing the muscles responsible for these movements, which in turn softens the lines and prevents them from becoming deeper over time.

Examples of dynamic wrinkles include:

• Glabellar lines – vertical frown lines between the eyebrows
• Forehead lines – horizontal lines across the forehead
• Crow’s feet – fine lines that radiate from the outer corners of the eyes
• Bunny lines – small creases on the sides of the nose
• Perioral lines – lines around the lips from frequent pursing or puckering
• Chin dimpling – Softening the puckered appearance caused by the mentalis muscle
• Platysmal bands – vertical bands in the neck
• Masseter muscles (jawline slimming): Relaxation of the masseter muscles to reduce teeth grinding or create a slimmer, more contoured jawline
• Brow lift – Elevating the eyebrows subtly by relaxing downward-pulling muscles

Longer lasting results

One of Daxxify’s most notable advantages is its extended duration. While traditional neuromodulators like Botox typically last about three to four months, Daxxify has been shown to last for an average of six to nine months.

Fewer injections

This extended effect means that patients may require fewer appointments per year to maintain their results, which can be especially appealing to those with busy schedules or a preference for low-maintenance treatment plans. Fewer treatments do not affect the quality of the results.

Faster onset of action

The onset of results is usually noticeable within a few days, with full results developing within one to two weeks after injection. As with all botulinum toxin treatments, individual response may vary depending on factors such as metabolism, muscle strength, and treatment area.

An option for patients with resistance to Botox

A small number of patients develop resistance to Botox which negatively impacts the results of treatment. Daxxify is an option for these patients.
