Radiesse

Radiesse is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. Calcium hydroxylapatite is a substance naturally found in human bones and teeth, making it biocompatible and well-tolerated by the body. Once injected, the CaHA microspheres provide an immediate lifting and volumizing effect while stimulating collagen production over time. As the gel carrier is gradually absorbed, the body continues to produce collagen around the microspheres, creating a firmer and more youthful appearance.

Radiesse is primarily used to treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the lines that run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth), marionette lines, and pre-jowl folds. It is also effective for restoring volume in areas of facial fat loss, particularly in the midface and lower face.

In addition to facial rejuvenation, Radiesse is FDA-approved for use in the hands, where volume loss can cause veins and tendons to become more prominent with age. By restoring volume to the back of the hands, Radiesse creates a smoother, more youthful appearance.
