A National Call to Action: Dr. Neely Khan Partners with the AAD for Skin Cancer Awareness
Dr. Neely Khan was recently featured in an American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) national press release, urging the public to “declare independence” from skin cancer this summer.
The campaign highlights the importance of early detection, specifically encouraging everyone to perform skin self-exams. In the release, Dr. Khan emphasizes that while skin cancer is the most common cancer in the U.S., it is also highly treatable when caught early.
“Check your skin, and if you see something changing, itching, or bleeding, see a board-certified dermatologist,” Dr. Khan advises.
By partnering with the AAD, Dr. Khan continues her mission to provide life-saving education and promote proactive skin health for patients in the D.C. area and beyond.
